Thought some would be interested in seeing this. I shot a small buck today with a 250 grain Barnes Spitfire T-EZ over 100 grains of 777. I would say this bullet performs as advertised.

The buck was angled away. The bullet entered on the right side breaking two ribs, angled through both lungs and into the left shoulder. I stopped under the skin.

Last year I shot a doe with the same bullet. She was face-on. I shot her in the neck and the bullet passed through her neck and took out about 5 inches of spine. Here is that bullet.

Both bullets were recovered inside the deer. Last year"s doe dropped in her tracks obviously but the deer I shot today ran about 50 yards and tumbled into a ravine. I feel sure if shot broadside this bullet would pass through.
Anyway...just thought some ML hunters would be interested.

I've got 4 recovered Barnes and they all look like that, 20 and 12 gauge shotgun and ML. I really can't imagine what more you could possibly ask a bullet to do. By the way, the TEZ is what I shoot in my ML as well. The 175" buck in my avatar was shot last December with the TEZ, he went all of 10 steps and tumbled over DRT.

I like the bullet, in fact the manufacturing facility is just 20 min from me. I really like it, but they won't shoot in my guns and I've tried a few of their products.

Great bullets. Out of 11 African animals these are the only ones that did not exit.

Hard to beat the Barnes. Seems like the perfect ML bullet.

290gr TMZ for mule deer and elk with no worries about the bullet performing.

That's a lot of powder. I stay at 100-110gr of BH 209.
