Sounds like premeditated cop baiting. Lucky he didn't get shot.

I just had this discussion with my boss a few days ago. If I'm ordered to seize a firearm that isn't actual evidence of a crime, it just isn't going to happen. I'll take my chances with insubordination. But he's on the same page and I don't think it'll be an issue.

That stupid fatass cop couldn�t just admit the guy was right. What an embarrassment; not just as a cop but as an American.

The brave folks who volunteer to put themselves at risk in order to stretch out the outer edges of our rights are to be commended. Rights not ever tested to their very edge eventually decay from lack of use.

I've found it safe to assume that the police officer has had worse day then I have and try not to make any worse.

The guy went looking for trouble and found it. Looks like a case of two bad attitudes going head to head. Neither side handled it right.

That attitude only holds water in a police state. Free folks should be exercising their rights without apology, and if the cops give them a hard time, they should exercise their rights to the very edge and oftener than they otherwise would.

You can quit exercising your right to be stupid. We're convinced of that fact.

What a bunch of girls. They are saying that the idiot public's fear is more important than our rights. Doesn't take much for brains to figure out the guy is no danger. Just show how dense and narrowly focused the gov't is. They are so used to using their power to get people to back down, they can't imagine anyone that won't. They are not bad guys, just used to doing things one way.

When you go looking for trouble you will find it. That whole scene could have been defused in less than a minute without violating my rights.

There was a time when black folks who sat in the front of the city bus, or drank from a "whites only" public water fountain, would routinely be arrested for it. It took folks testing these policies over and over again in a public manner to finally put a stop to them.

Would you have commended Gregory Johnson when he stretched out the outer edges of the first amendment?

Help me understand something.......If the guy carrying the gun wasn't doing ANYTHING illegal (the cops admitted that), why are many of you saying he was wrong??

Yes, I understand he was carrying the gun as an "activist", but that is also NOT illegal......according to the LAW, he has the RIGHT to openly carry his firearm......and that RIGHT is NOT dependent on the approval of law enforcement officers that don't like it or citizens that have an irrational fear of firearms.

In this instance, the cops should have driven by to make sure he was carrying in accordance with the law and LEFT HIM ALONE!! They had NO probable cause to stop and detain him and, if the cops had followed the law, none of this would have happened!!

It was very obvious from the video that a couple of the cops were just making things up as they went........they were not happy because he wasn't willing to just lay down and do as he was told......even though the cops had NO authority to issue such orders........

I hope he sued the city, state and the individual officers and won big!!

WTF? Do they have liberals train their cops over there? Those cops are in the wrong line of work. They F'd the whole thing up from the get go. Tactically and legally a cluster [bleep]. No wonder you're on the cops cases TRH I didn't know they were that F'd where you are. They aren't here.
