Respective case capacities of the 257 Wby and 300 WSM are 85.5 and 79 grains so a 25 WSM would be snuggling right up to the Wby in terms of performance..which is not a bad thing.

Its been done in 2005 or 6 its called 25wsm 25 slouper 25-300 wsm

Barnes book shows the 270 wsm pushing the 110gr tsx at near 3600.A 100gr ttsx should get 3700 without much problems.

The best I ever got out of mine with 100gr bullets was about 3550fps with 64.5gns of RL-22 (extremely hot.) At that pressure I had flattened primers and brass flow was horrible. Mine had a 24" barrel, tight chamber and standard throat.

If you want an honest assesment of what this cartridge is capable of, look at the .257WBY load data and subtract about 5%-7%.

I shoot 110 accubonds out of mine at 3400fps. 26" hart barrel only shot about 50 rounds so I'm still not dialed in on a load.
