Not in any way shape or form excusing the assh ole who shot him (especially considering I hunt there a bunch), but there is an elk season going there (antlerless as well as 3pt and better) and a bison LEH on now. Not simply a moose season.
The point is that you don't just go shoot at stuff without being certain of the target. Pretty sure I didn't say that anywhere in my post.....Just pointing out that there are a lot of open species, and as such a lot of guys on overlapping hunts in the area.
Why pack all that messy meat out of the bush when we can just go to the grocery store where meat is made? Hell,if they sold antlers I would save so much money I could afford to go Dolphin fishing. Maybe even a baby seal safari.

No excuse for not making sure of what your target is under any conditions ! Man should not be allowed to have a firearm EVER again in his hands ! RJ

A guy that shoots at a red atv is not going to be deterred by a blaze orange cap.

Orange isn't the answer. Binoculars are. If you're packing a rifle, you should be packing a pair of 'nocs as well. It would stop a whack of this stuff from happening.

If your hunting with someone from Vancouver, what would you expect? Pick your hunting partners carefully.
It is better to be judged by 12 than to be carried by 6.

I'm sure there are a lot of good hunters from Vancouver, idiots are everywhere.
Hope the guy recovers well.

Hope the guy recovers well. Exactly.
I've seen more well-shot game lost with TSXs than any other premium bullet.

Hope the guy recovers well. That should read Vancouver Island. As someone who hunts moose around Pink Mountain and knows a lot of Island hunters who do the same, I hope it's nobody I know.
