There's been much praise on this forum with regard to the Barnes TSX and its use on plains game. The Hornady GMX seems to be of similar construction. Has anyone used the GMX on plains game (up to Kudu, Gemsbok, or Wildebeest), and if so what are you thoughts on it performance as compared to the TSX.

I jus sent you some pictures of recovered GMX bullets from my Plains game hunt this spring.

Well that doesn't do the rest of us any good now, does it?

I used the GMX 165 gr. 30-06 superformance loads on 11 head of South African plains game. Recovered one bullet from an impala, the bullet weighed 163.7 grs. Only one animal required more than one shot, my fault. My wife tipped over a big Sable bull with one well placed 139 gr. GMX from her 7x57. Used the 90 gr. GMX out of a .257 Roberts on a Wyoming pronghorn this fall. I am sold on the GMX bullet. The superformance ammo does not chronograph advertized velocities out of my rifles.
