I'm taking mine with me this year and he's 4, we'll be in a ground blind so hopefully that helps with noise/movement on his part. he's been begging me to go, so I decided to get a ground blind and take him. I'm figuring it will be a deer watching trip, with the likelihood of putting one down being low, but you never know.

Finally got the culvert open. Took a 12 foot homemade rake and a lot of hard work, but we did it. You should have seen the s#@t fly when we punched through.

We dropped the water level over a foot in 24 hours.

We were 3 very tired old guys when we finished. Next step is to repair/improve the road and either replace the existing culvert with a larger one or to build a bridge over the creek.

Just a friendly reminder Ryan because I'm not sure its SD law or not but remember to throw something orange on the exposed sides of that blind. Especially in a (more) open country rifle zone.

And Good Luck too!!

Actually, I would too if you can build one for a reasonable cost and the DNR doesn't lay the clamps to ya.

Whether it is to be a bridge or a culvert, can I suggest pre-planting your demolition charges for future beaver intrusions? smile

That is a BIG buck with the North Country body style and all.

You need a gate to keep the beavers at bay.

I don't know about that T, my youngest and our lab have been headbutting like crazy the last couple days and tearing up the lawn like you would not believe...

And with the amount of bathroom cleaning I have been doing of late seems like they don't seem to care where they make their scrapes dangit... smile

Weird.
