I've long used photobucket as a site to store my images, but due to recent bogdowns I started looking for another. I came across this image hosting site... http://www.imageshack.us/I really like it. It has many of the same features as photobucket, but what I really like is the numerous resizing options they offer. From avater/thumbnail size on up. Very simple and user friendly. Thought I'd share.... Example Thumbnail size 800 x 600

Another popular one is Imagestation.com. I haven't used it so I can't comment on it but it's worth checking out.

How about a comparision between these three picture hosting sites with regard to crappolla advertising on your pages...
Photobucket now is very top heavy with adds that nobody really cares to be forced on them.....nothing if free I know but this has gotten out of hand...
Anyone know of a picture host that has the least amount of crappolla....???

I don't use any of them. If your ISP gives you room for a website, you can use your storage space for your photos. All you need is an FTP program to upload them. If your ISP doesn't have one installed, and many do, you can find free ones on the web. Google 'free ftp'. I've been using FTPX. It used to be free but now it's shareware for $30.
You don't have to create a website, just use the storage space. Normally there are no restrictions on linking and no ads. If your ISP offers it, you're already paying for the space so why not use it? You may have to contact your ISP to find out how to access it, though.
Check the properties on any of my photos and you'll see where they're stored.

Recently I have had trouble uploading pics into photobucket. Example... Imageshack was a breeze.... Here is one last bonus pic... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

My ISP gives me 5mb per email address. I can have up to 5 emails so I have 25mb to play with. One good TIF would use it all up but I can get a lot of low resilution jpg's on there. Every so often I go through and delete old photos that aren't likely to be looked at again.

No. My ISP is a small but progressive local phone company. A couple years ago they upgraded their equipment so I can get DSL even though I'm 5 miles from town.
