This is a security message for U.S. citizens traveling in or visiting Trinidad and Tobago to inform you that there have been two confirmed incidents of physical assaults and home invasions in the Westmoorings/Diego Martin/Glencoe area.
The first incident occurred on Tuesday October 16, 2012 at approximately 8:35 pm. An armed man entered the home through an opened window, assaulted the victims, and proceeded to ransack the home. The local police are aware of the situation and are conducting an investigation.
The second incident occurred on Wednesday October 17, 2012. The home invader entered the residence through a skyline window. He then assaulted the resident. Please review your personal security plans; remain aware of your surroundings, including local events; and monitor local media outlets for updates. Maintain a high level of vigilance and take appropriate steps to enhance your personal security.

In the last nine months in Honduras 687 young adults, mostly males, have lost their life due to violence. Of that total, 104 were murdered in September.
The tally is for victims between 17 and 24 years of age, and it totals over seven thousand in the last fourteen years.
Out of September�s 104 assassinations, 77 were committed with firearms, 16 victims were strangled and nine died from stabbing. The reporting source stated that the assassins� identities are unknown in 89 out of last month�s 104 cases.

MONTERREY, NUEVO LE�N
State officials announced the finding of a tunnel inside the Topo Chico prison. The tunnel was about 55 feet long and a bit over 4 feet wide, and in an area of unused cells.
LERDO, DURANGO
On Monday, it was reported that the police chief, two deputies, and their 3 bodyguards had disappeared after a Red Cross event. A wide scale search was started. On Wednesday morning, October 17th, they were found in front of a pool bar, smelling of alcohol. They showed signs of violence and said they were forced to drink the alcohol.
CALERA, ZACATECAS
Marines have discovered an underground crematorium, clothing and other things in a mine. Recovered ashes and other items, numbering over 40,000, have identified at least 39 victims. Clothing indicate victims included women and children.
TORREON, COAHUILA
A former state policeman and his wife were executed in the garage of their home. He had resigned as an officer in mid-September.
EL FUERTE, SINALOA
Two municipal police officers were attacked and shot, but are stable in a hospital.
