Traitors? No. Just realistic. Tired of mediocre at best football for 50+ years so I try not to get worked up it anymore. Even Tampa lucked into a superbowl for chrissakes.

Yeah, I heard that too. They were all accounted for, but a lot of folks never picked them up, so they were going back up today ( I think) on a first come first served basis.

Received a email this PM from one of our hunting group. His brother got a 10 pointer this morning (Bow kill) on their land in Waupaca County.

Today's results. Actually, only part of them. We got an even dozen (limit for 4 hunters) in 3 hrs. Perfect day all around.

Tomorrow night in that creamsause recipe of ND's and laid over wild rice. That's the plan anyway. And another limit in the bag would be nice too. This isn't the north country but it is pretty darn nice down here right now.

We got a fresh blanket of snow on the ground this morning. Looks to be about 2" or so. Might have to do some still hunting through the woods with the stick and string today.

Central Iowa - far below the boreal forests and the Hudson Bay watershed (my personal definition of "up there", aka, "the best part of planet Earth")

Mrs Mule1 continues her tradition of killing a deer on the first day of front stuffer season . This makes the fifth year in a row she has killed something on opening day . On her behalf she would like to thank her sponser (ME) for the stand, the blind the feeder the gun ect. If she reads this I'll be deader than the deer .

Congrats to your wife. My SIL's nephew (12) got a spike yesterday with his bow.

Just got back from the rifle range. Rifles are all sighted in and ready to go hunting. Think I'll use the 45-70 most of the season.
