just finished German hunting school! J�gerschlag is 4 november in eltville

Congrats. I miss hunting in Germany. Enjoy the experience. Try and hunt in as many places/areas of the country as possible.

This can be offered as a wish or as a greeting.
In case of a wish, as it will be offered in a case of congratiolation as here, in celebrating your success or in case of wishing a hunter a congrats on his animal he just felled, the correct rely by the so approached is "Weidmanns Dank."
In case of a greeting - say approaching a group of hunters early in the morning before the hunt - the reply will be "Weidmannsheil".
I wish you many happy hunting days in Germany. Please forgive, if I am preaching before the choir.
