I think I'm stuck at 192 lbs. I'll go see what the scale says today. Good job sliding under your 180 goal!

That looks great! Can't wait to see it!

Are you going to seal up the ends or put chicken wire or something on there to keep the critters out?

I'm leaving it wide open. For 5 years now we've went with the whole underside of the cabin left open at the north and south ends. It doesnt
create any shelter that way so it's just not been an attractive location for any critters.

looks really good dave. i agree with you on leaving it open. we put screen and lattice around ours and we've been trapping skunks there all summer long and wood chucks that have busted through our lattice and screen that we dug down 2 feet and everything. you'll like it. just remember, nice to have a table on the side too to put coolers on and be able to have them under it too. best thing we ever did with ours other than the roof which we added a couple pull chain lights to it as well. maybe if you peeked a roof just under your other one and came out the same way with it you could still leave the front open and get that daylight to come in. or maybe a hole through the wall for another gas light tied in out there. keep up the good work, we'll get out there sometime to check on your hunt.

Excellent!!!

I was #8 in line at the DNR office and it took less than one minute, yes that's correct, one minute before the system shut down because they sold them all. Online would have been the way to go but I didn't have access to it at the time.

I hope you get one ND.

So, Dave, how will you hunt them? Or are you just going to fill the tag as targets of opportunity allow?

I'm not really sure, started reading the regs after I got the tag this morning.

It looks like you can call and also bait but there are some specific rules for bait and calls.

Not sure if I will put a specific effort into wolves or not.
