Good read on hunting wolves: http://www.huntwolves.com/how-to-hunt-wolves/Granted it mostly western hunting but the same principals apply.

Is anyone here a "bone collector?" Why does 80% of the camo sold at GM say "Bone Collector" on it? I just wanted a fleece jacket perferbaly camo, so I can throw a vest over it this weekend. I refuse to buy anything that says "Bone Collector" on it. I was ready to punch Micheal Wadell in the neck.
I had to go to Fleet Farm instead, which is where I should have started in the first place. They didn't have exactly what I was looking for but I'll be dialed in anyway. I hear ya Zone ! Bone Collector sounds like something a hooker should wear !

I have some experience in locating and bringing in wolves for what it's worth. Walk the forest service roads or tote roads with a bird dog ranging side to side in known wolf range. Fire some shots and keep your eyes peeled as there is a good chance a wolf or wolves will show up.

Or in our case, find a deer. A wolf will be following shortly behind the deer.
If you find dead deer with the guts ripped out, you found the deer too late.
Find a non dead one.
Something clever here.

I wouldn't buy that crap just on principal. Somebody's making a bunch of cash just by buying the rights to that phrase and putting it on a bunch of junk. I won't pay to advertise for them, just like I refuse to buy a shirt that says Realtree, or anything else on it. They want to give me one, or pay me to advertise for them, so be it, but I don't work for free. I hear ya Zone ! Bone Collector sounds like something a hooker should wear !

the more they do that to hunting the more I try to simplify it to offset the stupidity.
I have a few sets of camo I've had since high school that I use. during rifle season it's usually blue jeans, jacket with orange vest and chickenbuck hat.
screw that they are doing to the sport of hunting

2 days to go and then the insanity peaks. I am sitting in my home office, all alone, with my blaze orange hat on. I learned me a good trick this year. Tie a 6" piece of thread or dental floss or something to the end of your gun barrel. Perfect wind indicator. It works awesome and is always in front of your face when needed most. Much better than wind powder. Why you might ask? Because those evil bastards that make the caps for the wind powder bottle design them to come off in your pocket. My right front pocket was full of very fine, white powder and now looks like a drug deal gone bad .

Beretta, YOu can glue, tie or tape a small piece of down feather (stolen from someone's jacket or plucked from a goose) on your barrel or bow for the same purpose. Marabou jigs also are a good source.
