Yes, almost always (of course, unless it happens to be a 7x57R).

Why?

well I have ran across a styer mannilicher stocked bolt gun in 7x57..bueatiful gun it does have handling marks..I was thinking about it but I have never seen 7x57 ammo anywhere so thats why the question..whats the value of styer rifles?? it looks like a high-quality rifle the owner said it's bout 30 years old and he bought it when stationed in germany... he said it'll shoot better then I can.........the scopes a luey 2x7 with quick release rings ...the deal is for a 20hp mercury I have, I don't need the motor and the gun seems interesting....

GET IT!

there are several type of 7mm Mauser ammo out there.

Whatever you are willing to put up with, is exactly what you will have.

When your ship comes in. ... make sure you are willing to unload it.

PAYPAL, sucks and I will never use them again. I recommend you do the same.

be careful with the military ammo it could have corrosive primers and they will ruin your barrel. otherwise you made out like a bandit... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Careful with the military ammo. as Hubert says, it could have corrosive primers. As far as I know, no country has used 7X57 as a military cartridge after WWII, wich increases the possibility of corrosive primers.

However the problem can be solved by shooting 10-15 rounds trough it after use of military ammo, and then clean it properly. Be aware of the fact that modern solvent reacts negative when mixed with corrosive primers. The old trick is to use boiling water when cleaning barrels wich has been exposed to corrosive primers.
