Not for president. For that I held my nose and voted for Romney, but for a local office, where my choice was to vote for the Democrat or to write someone in, I wrote in Bozo The Clown. How is it that there's no Republican running for some of these local positions?

BTDT in some similar instances. Though a majority of the local "democrats" are conservative and just don't know they aren't democrats of the day anymore....
We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....

Kudos for voting for Romney, I know it was no small thing... most of our county offices were Rep only, not one was Dem only, so it was easy for me... I did get to vote for Sheriff Joe, my one feel good vote.

How is it that there's no Republican running for some of these local positions? I've wrote in local people as jokes before and it got in the paper. Once time I told my Uncle I was writing this one dude's name in before I did it and he laughed his asss off. He wrote the dude in too. The guy got two votes and it made the paper. lol

I saw a movie where only the military and the police had guns. It was called Schindler's List.

I had the same issue except he is a Republican and not a Dem plus, he is my neighbor. Pulling the handle for him was a no brainer.
That's ok, I'll ass shoot a dink.

TRH - Thanks for voting for Romney....people on the news seem to think North Florida will go for Romney and south Florida will go for Obummer. Its going to be a close one ...again.

I had to vote for a number of democrats for local office....nobody runs as a repub for judge in Orleans parish.

... I held my nose and voted for Romney ... Voting for Romney, even though you are no fan of his was the right thing. Thanks. I hope he will win and that you will be plesantly surprised by his leadership.
Is it too ambitious or too naive to look for an honest politician? Or simply a useful one?

It was easy for me; I considered it a vote against obama not so much a vote for Romney.

I figured a second term Obama can do more harm than a first term Romney, who will at least be under some pressure from the grass roots to operate somewhat conservatively, or at least less to the left than he would otherwise prefer.

Amazing isn't it? I too am putting my hope on the unknown as opposed to the known. How desperate is that? obama is so bad you'd rather take a chance on the unknown quantity.
