I'm looking to replace the barrel on a DPMS upper I have, and looking on Brownell's website, they have the following barrels in stock (amongst others)--Shilen (with headspaced bolt), Krieger, and WOA. My WOA shot great, so I have no reason to believe that another WOA wouldn't shoot great, but I've had phenomenal results with Krieger and zero experience with Shilen.
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Dan

Any of them would be accurate and great barrels. Krieger is always my go to choice of barrel when available. I am also satisfied with my WOA and Schilen (Rainier) barrels too. Krieger would be my first choice of the three.

They all make fine barrels. The thing you must watch out for with shilen is that they have quality tiers. If you buy shilen make sure you know what quality of shilen you are paying for.

The AR I picked up a few weeks ago has a Shilen "match" barrel in 204 Ruger. Very satisfied with the groups I'm getting at 100m, looking forward to trying at longer ranges.

Thanks guys. I'm leaning WOA as it's considerably cheaper, and the one I had in the past was a tack driver.

I've got a Black Hole coming. I'll report when I get it all put together and shoot it.

If John sells it, I'd expect it to be accurate enough for most.
I"m with others, if you take top line Shilen you have a decent chance at it being great.
OTOH I've only had one bummer Krieger in all the years... it was a .75 moa tube and no better.
I've had great results with Rock so far, sample of 2 only, but shoot as well as any Krieger.
I"ve had a few mixed results with Pac Nor too. Mostly good enough for what I demand, but a few flat would not cut it.

Hollinger (WOA owner) will never steer you wrong. He built my last AR upper. Another vote for WOA.

No history on the website of them. Got any background?
I like 5R rifling...

Black Hole uses a polygonal rifling 3 groove. They seem to shoot a hair faster then traditional rifling and clean very easily. I've never seen a report of one NOT shooting well. And if they did, I'm confident they stand behind their product.

I have a BHW 16" and it is a shooter. Got an 18"LTR that will be at my door this Friday. Searching the web they are veryu accurate barrels. Here is some talk from M4 forum..http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=53014
And a thread from Predator Master..http://www.predatormastersforums.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=1612317

Whats the history, any crank head can rifle a barrel. Whats teh background of the company, its employees, where did they learn, etc.... Anyone can cut polygonal, its no secret. I'd just like a bit more personal info. Just like Rock folks coming out of Kreiger, well you know they at least had a chance at doing things really well....

Thats a start. And more than I found when I went to the website a while back.
Certainly in the future there will be data on who uses his barrels, given accuracy and so on.
its hard to break into the game with no name. And even with names, they don't all mean the same. IE if Caudle had come from douglas barrels background, I'd steer WAY out of the way.... if from Obermeyer, I'd sure give him a shot.

I may not have caught it, what chambering? My last AR build was a 6.8spc...I opted for a Wilson Combat SS Lw hunter barrel...Has been scary accurate. Sub MOA is norm, some groups near 1/2 inch. Not bad for a lightweight, do it all, truck gun

I have never seen a bad BHW report. I really like mine, it shoots well, cleans easy, load development was very easy. I apologize for the typo.
