I heard on Glenn Beck this morning that first thing Wed morning Obama sent a message out to press on with the UN gun control plan which has been on hold. Did anyone else see or hear anything?

I found another blog on this and it has the potential to be a real problem as Obama's administration supports the UN gun control. We need the senate to standup and shoot it down or we're in real trouble.

There are mechanisms for the congress (House) to override exec orders, but the problem is getting them to do their job.

Yup.
Congress HAS to ratify the agreement. The SENATE must ratify it, not the whole body of Congress. But I still agree, it's not going to get ratified. 67 votes is required, not all the dems will vote for it, very few, if any republicans would vote for it.

I remain dubious
Cause if you are right that an Exec Order which flies against the Constitution and recent SCOTUS decisions and left unchallenged by the House and Senate, well we have Much bigger problems

This is the boomerang issue that just wont go away. Congress has to ratify it, and even if they did ratify it; it still has to pass constitutional muster in light of the Heller decision. This is a NON-ISSUE. We have enough legitimate issues, we dont need to go looking for trouble where there is none.

http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/11/07/us-arms-treaty-un-idUSBRE8A627J20121107 Well this is only the first "morning after", there will be others, many others... People who voted for BHO are going to see what he meant when he said to Medvedev that he would have "more flexibility" after his re-election.
Is it too ambitious or too naive to look for an honest politician? Or simply a useful one?

While I agree that it is probably a non-issue right now, it show the intentions that Zero has
