I am looking to scope a CZ 452 22LR gun and was thinking hard about the Minox offerings. Even though it might be a lot of glass for a 22LR, it is the scope range I use on my CF and seems appropriate for practicing and could be used in a CF in a pinch.

I was wondering on the differences between scopes (the price jump is significant).

I asked the same question awhile back.

Whatever you get, read the specs and measure carefully to make sure you can mount the scope far enough forward to achieve proper eye relief.

remington, thanks for the link, somehow I missed it.
I was pretty sure there was something hinky with the ZV vs the ZA's as far as differing quality. Considering I might want to use it on a CF too, I am leaning more and more for a ZA (either 3-9 or 2-10x).

The Vortex Viper series is also appealing and I think they a step below in quality, though I might be wrong

stay away from the demos open box. i am sending one to minox today. the parallx sucks,and on a 22 would reall suck. this is the second minox i have gotten from cameraland both have parallx problems. i think they are a demo,open box for a reason. .

John, thanks for the heads up. How has the CS behaved with this issues? did you go through CLNY or directly to Minox

I have a demo from SWFA and it's perfect so all of them can't be bad..

they have excellent CS too
