I don't think I've ever posted on this site before, but have referenced it often for the optics forum - due to the seemingly rabid obsession with glass on this site.
Just thought I'd give Minox a huge 2 thumbs up on warranty/customer service. Without going into too much detail, they went above and beyond even the no fault warranty for me recently and had me back in business in less than a week. Pretty impressive considering the fact I live in northern British Columbia and their facility is in New Hampshire.

Love them, they have been and still are awesome. Price and service from Cameraland when I purchased was excellent too.

I'll check them out, too bad we can't order scopes from Cameraland.

I also have the 8.5x43 HG's that I got from cameraland about 4-5 yrs ago. Ive used them hard but I put butler creek flip-up covers on the objectives right from the start and I only ever touch them with a lense pen so they are still like new. Its good to know that those of us from B.C. can get good costumer service. I couldnt beleive Cameraland was selling them last year for $449, what a great deal.

I will add a plug for Minox CS. I bought a 3-9 scope from Doug. The scope was bad. It had horrible flare in low light. Minox immediately replaced it.

I've had a couple for their ZA-5 scopes. Really nice glass and turrets work fine. Good value from Doug.
I just bought another for my new M70 EW in .308 Win.
What could be a sadder way to end a life than to die having never hunted with great dogs, good friends and your family?

I've had a 8.5x43 HG BR binocular for awhile now, really impressed. This one was made in Germany, but most are made in China now. It wasn't cheap by any means, but hard to perceive a difference between this one and binoculars that are three or four times the price.
They have also been produced in Japan, under supervision/direction of German engineers, or that's what the company says.

I have 2 Minox 3-9x40 ZA-3 scopes. They are much brighter and more clear than my Leupold Vari-X III 3.5-10x40 scopes BUT because of the shape of the bell on the Minox I have to use higher rings than I do with the Leupolds.

hey pharmeller, how is the parallax on them? i had a 3x15 with the 44mm and the parallax was not good. it and my gun got ripped off, now i have a 2x10 44mm all packed up to send to minox. both were bought as demos from camerland. were your scopes new? not demo open boxed special? i have theory about their so called specials.

I bought a Cameraland demo spotter. Tripod tipped over in a gust and broke the foot out of the body. It took them a month but they sent me a complete new spotter. More thumbs up.
Please God, give me some good tags this year....
