Depends on the original chambering.

It is now a 6.5x284 in a short action. Bbl is .600 at the crown and is 23" long. I want to re-bbl to 243. I know the the channel can be opened. This is very lite stock and I want the rilfe to balance.
Thanks Coach

What I'm getting at is that they were done in two different contour depending on the original chambering. Mountain contour for regular cartridges and magnum sporter for the SAUM cartridges. With the dimension you quoted I would guess it came from a SAUM if it hasn't been altered already.

You will have to send it to Bartlein and they will duplicate the original barrel. If your getting Stainless I doubt they will build you one with the TI profile. I was told by Bartlein last year that they will not build any Remington Contours with out the existing barrel so they can take measurements.
