That seems logical, however, in the US they seem to get major cases before the courts much sooner. Not sure if I am misinformed in this regard but it would seem the US lawyers would have as much desire to prolong things as they do up here.

Just something I've wondered about for a long time.

Jim, If you are talking about criminal cases, you well be right.
Civil cases are quite slow getting done.
