Wow man that looks great! That is some high-grade walnut, and I like the way you designed the checkering pattern up front with the points only to the rear. Distinctive.

I just took a chance and let him run with the pattern he described over the phone. I was pleasantly surprised when it came back from Tim. He nipped the point of my shadowline a bit. But, it blends well. The walnut slab was very reasonably priced.

You are two for two Ray....incredible. I like the grip and of course, the wood.

Another nice one. I like when checkering is run square up front with the forend tip.

It's growing on me quick. I took a chance going short on the fore end.

That's as good as it gets right there. I get so tired of seeing stainless steel and synthetic all the time. Your rifle is truly refreshing to the eye. If it shoots half as good as it looks you've got it made.

Very nicely done rifle, congrats.
I have a still full military M1936 7x57 Mexican and a 300 Savage rifle built on a M1936 action with a timney trigger in it. Darn if I can tell much difference between their triggers and I've basically done nothing to the military trigger.

CB,
Nicely done. Tim did a great job on checkering. I'd like to see close-up photos of the repro cocking piece.

More to the point, that firearm denotes taste and style.
These are my opinions, feel free to disagree.

Really a beautiful rifle. I have it in my head that I need to do a Mauser build someday . If mine looks half as nie as this one I would be tickled to death. Goodshot

Very nicely done, I'd be more than pleased to be able to do one like that myself!

A very very nice rifle. I know that you are proud! My Mexican in 7X57 is one of my very favorites. I do like the 2.5X8-36 Leupold.
