I got to say, y'all apparently missed out on the proper place for mud in a man's life. Surprised as chitt any of you would think about actually crawling in it. Walkin' sure, but crawl? Geesh! I give you MUDGIRL!
I am..........disturbed.

Mojo, it totally depends on where you're at.
Riverbottom equals whitetails, get out in the hills a mile or two away and it's mule deer. Whitetails can be found out in the hills though as well. On buck tag per year, good for either species.
Thanks Flave!
He was porking another buck so I guess that makes him French? (made that up, I would never shoot a gay deer)
DD, I'll let you tame that one!

Just wondering about something. I know you guys is good, but were ya ever this good? Or crazy? Curious minds and all that... That looks a lot like this plane. We loaded it with a million sockeye salmon fry and the pilot flew them to a remote lake to be released.

Apart from wings and colour they are not even remotely similar.
Interesting about the fry though.....is it regular practice to release fry in the States from the air?

It is in certain parts of Alaska. Here are a couple of shots of the inside of the plane. We piped in a couple of airstones that feed off a small tank and the pilot has a viewing window so he can monitor the health of the fry on the trip. They get dropped from about 100' or so. We tried dropping them right near the water and the speed at which they hit the water killed most of them, so we started dropping them from higher up and it gives the fry a chance to get oriented head-first.

Sure thing. We stock about 10 million fry into a remote lake every year. Doug Glenn is the pilot, heck of a guy. We have had moose and caribou run across the road in front of the plane before, Doug always says that gets the pucker factor up a bit. Here is a short video I took of him taking off. We shut down the road so he can take off and land. The plane is loaded with a million fry and about 500 gallons of water per trip. It uses a superprop and has some serious horsepower. We try and avoid these suckers. Just for kicks here is a video of a couple of humpbacks that were trying to eat the coho smolts we were holding in saltwater pens. You can see the line of bubbles they blow to corral the fish together.

Here is my trapping partner with our Lynx. He went on a goat hunting trip this past fall and took a tumble and didn't survive. It was pretty funny watching him try and walk through 5 feet of snow to come see that lynx in the 330 but he managed to do it. At first I thought it was a coyote but once I brushed it off I saw the stubby tail and I knew it wasn't a coyote. His family is getting it rugged. Still miss that dude. He did get a goat though, was on his way back down the mountain when he slipped and that was that. He was 6'7" 375, so that gives you an idea of the size of the kitty. Here he is with another one of our wolverines, a smaller female.

That's bad ass! I've never used conibears out of the water like that. Looks like it works... I can bring a bleeder in exchange for a black bear hunt. Or one of those orange antlered bastards. I would ask Boxer, but I'm scared he'll 'bully' me or tell me to GFM. Travis
