Need some help here with a BRNO 602. A few years ago I foolishly sold my last one in .375 H&H complete with the BRNO rings and bases. When I replaced it I picked up the identical model and stock design in like new condition. The problem is it came without rings and bases. No problem I went out and bought a set of Warnes for the CZ 550. They're close but it appears the 602 receiver is recessed shallower than the current models. The Warnes have a definite space below the ring body. Also tried a set of Leupold's for the 550 with much the same result. Is there a source for genuine 600 series rings and bases or anyone making the aftermarket 600 series type?

I put a Burris set for CZ550/ZKK602 onto a 602 in 375 with no problem years ago. If Burris hasn't re-designed them they should work.

Alaska Arm's fit fine on my 375 602. Fortunately my rifle also came with the older Brno QD rings which are leaner than those available today.

I have a BRNO 602 build in the works and am using the Alaska Arms setup. If you're in a real bind let me know because I have some original rings that came with this rifle. The rings are Australian.

To me they just look like an old set of Tasco mounts made by Tetra Industries.
I am using Alaska Arms on the Model 21 with no issues.

No problem....what are they? Be aware that if they were indeed made in Australia they will be Tetra product.

Lots of net surfing has got me to the Lynx website out of RSA. The site claims both one piece and two piece ring mounts for the 600 series BRNO's. The design looks a lot like a set of buggered up ones I have on hand that came with a 601 in 223. Has anyone seen or used the Lynx built versions on a 600 series rifle?

For what it is worth, I had a set of Lynx one inch rings (2 piece) for my Brno 602 in .375 H & H Magnum. They were all steel, well machined, did not mar my scope tube and they worked just fine! John

That's all real good info. Thank you. I'm not sure who, if indeed anyone deals Lynx in Canada but every bit helps.

I ordered mine from some online place in Australia and they have no problems shipping internationally with the mail (unlike the USA in recent years, sadly). I think the company in Australia was something like Western Firearms. If I find any info, I will come back and post on this thread. John

John Lynx were made by Tetra Industries...Western Firearms is a Gunshop. I am pretty sure all the tooling from Tetra was sold to someone in the States.

Tetra mounts were sold under 3 Brand names: Tasco, Lynx and Austinel. I revieved dozens of sets on many rifles up to the 458, .416 and .460 Weatherby as well as toured the plant where they were made. John

On my Mk V .340 Wby is a Tetra base with hourglass studs sold under Tasco brand. Having a long base that uses all four screws seemed worthwhile to take the recoil. It has been solid, so far. I think it is an excellent mount, and I would like to be able to still get it. It allows the rings to align in azimuth with no force or torque necessary. No vertical twist or torque to the rings or scope, as far as I can tell, esp with the one piece base.
BTW: the .340 shot MOA for three shot groups. 8-mm Rem brass run thru .340 sizer (about 5% less volume than Wby/Norma -> about 5% lower max charge of MRP ~ 84 gr max for my rifle) and 250-gr Partitions or 250-gr Hornady. The rifle is probably more accurate than the shooter - it lifts a lot on recoil. Had to remind myself it kicks just as hard, if I flinch, so keep still and get the shot off.
