I've finally put the stock this came in to use, but can't decide if the Blackburn bottom metal is even fit to use now.

It seems to be someone's idea of pillar bedding.
This first pic is kinda' fuzzy. Blame my lack of patienc with this cheap camera.

It came with a fairly nice, altered, VZ24 action.

I'm planning to list the action in the classifieds and need to know how much bubba affected the value on the Blackburn.

The front post of the bottom metal has been shortened for the short pillar bedder.

I kind of thought those didn't need a front pillar, but it shouldn't hurt anything.

I think, therefore I am, conservative.

Why wouldn't you want a front pillar? You do not want your bottom metal touching and bottoming to the bottom of the receiver.

It wouldn't bother me at all from what I can see in the photo.

My thought exactly.
Glass bed under the receiver ring and behind the recoil lug and a Mauser is good to go.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. That trigger guard should work just fine on your Mauser

It's worthless, PM me for an address to dispose of it.
