This deer season we didn't get to hunt as much as we usally do, saw alot bucks, some decent some small, didn't get any big bucks but have a great time together and that's what made it a very successful season.

First deer is a 3X3 mulie my son Brandon shot during the youth season. He shot it on the move at 80yds with a Ruger M77 MKII in .257 Roberts, pushing a 117gr Sierra SBT @2550fps.

Second is a 4X4 whitetail my son Bradley shot the last weekend of season. It was in a creek bottom going thru some thick brush. He had a small opening to shoot thru at just over 200yds and placed a perfect shot on him. He was using a custom Win 70 in 25-06 Ackley Improved pushing a 100gr Sierra SBT @ 3441fps.

Thirdly is a 2X3 whitetail my wife Gina shot, just after my son Bradley shot his 4X4. When my son shot his deer this one just stood in an opening by where the other deer was. I waved my wife up and told her there was a small buck standing by the creek. She came up, put her gun on the shooting sticks to look at it and decided she would take it (I think the wind and the cold may have had something to do with it). One shot at just over 200yds and down it went. Her gun is a Browning A-Bolt, Gold Medallin in .308. It use's 165gr Sierra SBT going 2589fps.

Next is a 2X3 mulie my son in law Fred shot. He got it on the first day of the season. We had found some bigger buck's that morning then found this one hunkered down along the bank of a creek. Couldn't tell at first how many point's he had on the one side but could see 3 on the other. Told him to check it out with his scope. He looked it over and decided to take it. One shot at just over 100yds and it was over. He was using a Tikka chambered in .338 Win mag, pushing a 180gr Nosler ballistic tip spit. at 3120fps.

Lastly is a 4X5 whitetail I shot on the last day of season. My wife and I went out in the afternoon and had seen some small buck's. It got real windy on us so we walked a creek bottom that had good cover for the deer out of the wind. Right at the get go I was seeing deer bedded everywhere. Saw some buck's that looked pretty good but had no way to get in closer without being seen and they were in some brush. Came upon some does with this buck and decided to take him (if I could hold my rifle steady enough on my shooting stick's in the wind). One shot at 200yds and he was mine. I was using a custom Rem 700 in 25-06 Ackley Improved, using a 100gr Sierra SBT going 3375fps
