Look at this little sweety that just showed up at CGN for $400, if I didn't hate EG's so much it would be on it's way to my house tomorrow. It's in 250 Savage.

I see it is still for sale. The gun market on Canada is really funny at the moment. The death of the long gun registry sent many on a buying spree. On the other hand it also brought hoards of rifles out of the closet that had sat unregistered (illegal) for a few years.
The economy and lack of jobs in Ontario has meant there are very few new collectors.
Overall I think gun collections have actually dropped in value over the past two years. Buyers with cash will only part with it for guns at bargain prices.
Great time to be buying ... not as good if selling. (in my neck of the woods anyway!)

Any idea how many guns were destroyed rather than registered when it started?

Can't call it a live ad, it's not auctioned it's just for sale.

Surprised it's still for sale.

I know of 2 guns that were special order that went to Alberta a couple days ago to. Both had factory pistol grip stocks.

Anyways, gotta get some sleep, going back out again tonight, we got about 5" of the white stuff last night and they're calling for another 4".

Right from deer season into winter, this blows.

The number of guns destroyed?

I remember a conversation with manager of a gun shop who was in Ottawa at the time who assured me, if I had been there, and seen what he'd seen back in the 90s when the government was chopping up and destroying the vintage guns that the RCMP had stockpiled for reference models, I would have been awash in tears at the quality, let alone the shear quantity of the firearms that were destroyed. frown

We will never know how many great rifles were either destroyed by owners or parted out due to long gun registration. There were many turned in for destruction as well, some voluntarily and some under police pressure ... especially upon older citizens whose firarm licence had expired.
I see Germany is registering all long guns starting in 2013. When will politicians ever learn gun registration is a waste of money.

When will we ever learn that politicians don't care about the money they spend, it's ours, and that they have an agenda to disarm us?

looked hard at that one myself for $400...just don't need it.

My hunting buddies Dad used to work at the city dump and said they found rifles all the time once the registry was put in place.

bloody shame!

If it was anything but an EG we wouldn't even be surprised it's still there right now, haha.
