swapped some 45/70 stuff for this cute little rig... it's a .303sav/32S&W cartridge converter says: "WINCHESTER REP. ARMS CO PATENTED AUG.22.1899 .303 CALIBER-SAVAGE. USE .32 S&W-SMOKELESS. I picked it up just because it's old Savage but lately I've been thinking of trying it out... Just wondering if has anyone used one of these rigs for plinking or if it's better left in the box - lol

I've got one of the chrome-plated Winchester adapters in .303 but I've never shot it(they are pricey and I didn't want to wear off the plating.). I have done quite a bit of shooting with the Marble's adapters and they work pretty well.

I've got a Marbles (I think) for the 250 that shoots 25 ACP IIRC. I'm vague on the details because it shot so poorly, 6" at 50 yards, I abandoned the concept. Instead, I loaded down the 250 with a 60 gr Hornady flat point and got better accuracy. I haven't much experience in actual use, just experimenting, and only with the 250 caliber.

I have collected and shot these neat little adapters for decades. Just recently I have bought a few 303 rifles and am looking for one of these adapters in user condition. I have quite a few different calibers. The 250 Sav.x 25ACP adapter was very disappointing. After years of looking for one, I was able to find one and paid a high price for it. Accuracy was very poor. Then to top off my dissapointment, a supply of new in package adapters in this caliber were being sold for 1/3rd of what I paid for the used one I purchased.

Glad to hear it wasn't just me. I think the .251 bullet diameter might have been the deal breaker. I'd sell it if some poor unsuspecting sap wants a 250 that shoots patterns
