Yesterday my wife and I were at the bank when this vehicle came rolling up beside us. The owner of the jeep was super cool and happy to have his rolling advertisement photo-documented. I happen to collect pictures of personalized plates and the plate on the M38A1 works right into his rolling advertisement format. His ammunition business is just down the street from our city home and I'd never even heard of it before. I'll be swinging by there in the future for sure!!

We do enjoy seeing older and unique vehicles on the road and to run across one with a military/firearms theme just made our day!!

I have had the privilege of burning several hundred rounds out of one of those machine guns. It was a real honor.

BYOA is no problem......what is the recoil factor? I ask as my wife would absolutely love to shoot the same gun as the one that's on that Jeep. She's having her 2nd hand surgery on Dec. 6th but by Jan 19th she could probably handle it if it's not to excessive on the recoil.

Properly set up, on it's tripod, I don't think recoil will be much of a factor, if any.

Perhaps some more qualified than I care to comment,....

Not my gun, but belongs to a local miscreant / afficianado, so having it at the 3rd annual Porkeye may be do-able.

I can't afford to FEED that sorta' rig, myself.

Thanks for the info. As 'ie 84' said it would be a real privledge/honor to burn some ammo thru one of those. A "once in a lifetime" experience that would be well worth the BYOA cost.

I only wish my 93 year old Father-In-Law could make the trip and pull the trigger on that gun. I'm sure it would bring back clear as day 1944 memories of his WWII 'Battle Of The Bulge' service.
