Well on my other two cam's, the batteries haven't died yet. They last a long time.
The Troof cam 46 says 50K pictures!

So, did the deer test possitive for mortality? Yep! It got a 'A' in dead!

yeah a lot of these new cams are really good on the batteries. truth cam with it's (4) D cells goes a year for me. I've had the truth cam 35 for 2 overlapping deer seasons, actually prob a year and a half now and I just changed the batteries for the first time a couple weeks ago.
Something clever here.

"I woner what people do for memories that don't hunnt or fish" (Patrick McManis) Yeah Bill. As they say "Thats why its called hunting and not killing" Now, would we all like to shoot a trophy buck or even a doe every year? You bet! But the memory is in the hunt and experience itself.

Did they check for a pulse or just touch it's eye with a rifle barrel? You have to register it first. Pretty sure that confirms death since the organs are missing. Than you call the DNR and provide them with the ear tag numbers and some other boring stuff. DNR will than send someone to your home to pick up the transmitter collar. Probably stick around and have a venny burger if you offer.

I dont think this is your problem Tzone, but I cant get SDHC cards to work in my Truth Cam 35. Only the older SD versions. I learned this the hard way of course.
Noduck, nice pictures and way to go getting the girl out. She is about the same age as my girl. Pretty fun viewing the hunt through her eyes, huh?

I think my TCs only take up to 8 meg cards. I stuck in a 16 meg and it shot about 10 pictures or less and then said "memory full" which was ridiculous for that card. Might have been the card itself though.

I have had hit and miss with the SD cards in that cam. I've had good luck with 2 and 4 meg cards. I think the 2meg will hold 700 pictures or something. That is enough unless the cam was in my back yard when I got 6-800 a week.

I'm a firm believer in the wildgame innovations cameras, I love mine. I use the 4 gig cards, I can fit close to 2000 pictures on mine, more if I use a lower resolution. cameras are about 80 bucks (less on sale) a piece and run all year on 8 AA batteries. pictures are good quality as well. never had much luck with using the video feature on them

I know next to nothing about cams. Wife got me one last year for Christmas...it's a Wildgame and uses 6 AA batteries. Earlier on when the weather was warmer I got about 3-1/2 weeks out of a set. That was over 10,000 pics...the squirrel and racoon traffic was amazing....lol. I only need it out for another couple of weeks...then I think I'll pull it for the winter, It's been pretty neat entertainment.

since Im gone most of these short daylight hours most days, thought I'd put out my cams, and see what kind of birds I get in to my feeders this winter. That thistle seed is pretty spendy.Hope it draws better than the "mix" stuff. I just put them out yesterday, and the ckickadees found it today.

I'm heading up this Sunday to set out a couple in a new area I found. I'll go back up in a couple weeks and get them. I scouted a clear cut on the last weekend of the season a bit and found a promising spot. We'll see how promising it is, I guess.
I'll have a Truth cam 35 and a Truth cam 46 out.

My Moultrie 55 takes up to 16 gig SD cards. The manual doesn't say anything about the SDHD card s, so apparently they will not work in this camera.

Actually, it's SDHC (Secure Digital/High Capacity). It's a newer format that increases the throughput (speed) and storage size (space) of the cards.
SD cards are typically found up to 2 or 4GB. SDHC go from 4 to 32GB. SDXC (Secure Digital eXtended Capacity) go up to 2TB (2,048GB).
The SDHC cards are the same as SD cards in many ways, but older devices designed for the original SD cards may not read them. Devices that support the SDXC and SDHC standards should be able to read a regular SD card as well.

thanks. I wonder if that was my problem before. I had some issues with SD cards not storing pictues. I wonder if it was a camera not designed for them.
