All of the savings from BRAC/Base closures and the prosperity of the mid 90's, was a direct result of Reagan's investment in ending the Cold War.
Bingo! Slick Willie recieved credit for much of Reagan's efforts.

Kind of like Obama being blamed for a lot of Bush, and the next President going to get both blame and credit for Obama... nothing has changed!
What Reagan didn't warn us about is the Tea Parters shutting down everything!

He was a poser. No dumbass, Tip O'Neil tripled the debt over Reagan's objection. Remember that guy? Powerful Dem Speaker of the House?? He blocked all attempts to cut spending on entitlements.

Tip O Neal to every Reagan budget proposal;" dead on arrival". Yes he could have let those corrupt bastards stall the righting of the ship by a stand off, what he did was expose those bastards on the issues at the time mattered and got the money spent where it needed spending. Perfect, no. The best we ve had in a long, long time,YES! If the 1st GB hadn t been so damn wishy-washy, we d still be riding the wave of Americas resurgence So in other words, it's was business as usual. Nothing has changed.
