I just committed to buy a cool old Winchester 32 Special and need to clear up some funds.
1) New manufacture Weaver 4X rimfire matte black w/box and papers. I had it mounted on a Marlin 22 for a little while and it tracks perfectly. It looks new. They are going for $130 + shipping on Midway. This one is $105 shipped.
2) Weaver V4.5 1.5-4.5x20mm Steel Lite II w/Microtrac adjustments and duplex reticle. It was made around 1979-80 one of the last steel tube el Paso scopes. It looks pretty close to new and the glass is nice and clear. This is a great vintage scope for a Marlin, Winchester or Savage levergun or similar. Built like a tank, but not as heavy as the Weaver 1 series that preceded it. $120 shipped
3) Weaver V4.5 1.5-4.5x20mm straight tube, duplex late 60s, early 70s scope. It looks about new as well with clear glass and perfectly working adjustments. Great working scope for a vintage rifle. Great eye relief and generous eye box on this one. $110 shipped

I am glad that you bought that 32. That is the kind of gun that I like. Real usage, but well taken care of. Lots of character.
TTT for one of the really good guys on the site. Also, these are great scopes for just about any kind of vintage rifle, especially lever actions. A nuke cant break one of these steel Weavers.

I am a Marlin guy, but have always wanted an older Winchester 94 in 32 Special if the right one came along. This one was exactly what I was looking for and for exactly the same reasons you outline.
