Anybody have any idea where I can buy some? Seems like everybody is out of everything except for Nosler Brass....

Thanks,

David

I've seen once fired .308 mil stuff, in a pinch you could size some of that. Not ideal, just a suggestion.

Have you tried Cabelas?
The store in Springfield, OR has some on the peg.
Maybe they have some at the distribution center.

Unavailable....

I appreciate the responses. I was hoping to stick with new Remington Brass. Oh well, I assume some will be available eventually...

I've used .308 with excellent results. It should do in a pinch, until you can get the stuff with the 7-08 headstamp. You might end up liking it.

Steve.

My local dealer has been out of Remington 7mm-08 brass for about four months.

Thanks Pharmseller and JAP.

I LOATHE Cabelas, but I held my nose and ordered some online. I appreciate the other responses for Winchester brass and reforming 308 Brass. I reform 308 all the time for my 338Fed and have about 150 brand new 308 cases on hand. I also know that Winchester brass is quality brass and many think better than Remington.

I just started loading for my 7mm-08 - a rifle looney buddy picked up dies and about 100 new cases as part of another deal he was working and gave them to me. I worked up some loads (with a pound of Varget he loaned me grin) and some 120 grn BT's I ordered. My little 7mm-08 shoots lights out with this load and I basically put in zero development time - just lucky and the rifle is easy to load for. Being the lazy sort that I am, I'm just trying to lay in a supply of brass, powder, primers & bullets for a load that I already know works.

Regards,

David

Not luck, the 7mm-08 is like the .222 and .308, it's just plain accurate in an accurate rifle.

David,
Cabelas pisses me off on a regular basis. When they opened the store in Springfield, OR, they had crap for a selection. Much of what they did carry was part of their "typical" store merchandise, rather than reflecting the needs of the area. As an example, they had NO gear for halibut, even though the halibut season was due to open in 3 weeks.
They just recently started carrying 7mm-08 brass and Ramshot Hunter and Big Game powders.

Years ago I used to order a lot of stuff from Cabelas. It was about the same price / slightly higher than what I could find, but they had a good selection. No tax = shipping cost, so it was a wash on cost but convenience factor was high.

Then they opened stores in state, costs are now 8-10% higher, but convenience was still high. Then they started delaying shipping. They charge you for 2-3 day shipping, but the order won't actually be processed for another 3 or 4 days THEN 2-3 day shipping....

Not convenient any more, prices have gone even higher, customer service has gone to $hit, they don't even try to fix problems unless you raise a $hit storm, etc.

They are now on my "no fly" list, I haven't done business with 'em in years. Made the exception this time cause I can't find the brass anywhere else....

That's interesting Canazes. I order from Cabelas very often, and I live in TX like you do. I use the standard shipping, which is usually free with a $100 order, and I'll have it on my door in 5 business days.

It is irrelevant what you think. What matters is the TRUTH.

Seems like your a fan of 2-3 day shipping arriving in 5 business days - I'm not. If I place in order with mid-south (just 1 example) my stuff usually arrives in 2 business days, 3 tops. They sit on the orders. Cabelas is not cheap and you are paying taxes - too easy to have the same merchandise shipped cheaper and faster (and customer service is not nearly so snotty).

If it works for you enjoy.
