Inherited a 336 30-30, S.N. E? 34** Can anyone tell me what butt plate I need? Was there a white spacer under it? Steel? Plastic? Anyone have an extra laying around? Thanx, Vern.

I would try on the Marlin site www.marlinowners.com Once you identify it, it should be easier to find. Might also call Marlin. E serial number designation is 1948, if that helps. I am assuming the E is part of the designation. Are you haveing trouble reading it?
