I have a Model 7 SS in 7mm-08, and I can see why you want one. I'd never sell it for a "reasonable price." Free bump.

You do not need stainless or synthetic.
You can buy a Remington synthetic stock for $ 40.00 Stainless flairs the game. All of mine are either Cerakoted or KG Guncoat finished in matte black.
Also there is a rumor the Model 7 is being phased out.
Your other choice is to buy new from a wholesaler.

Foster, I may have one for sale if you still need one. I bought my son a new one a few years ago and loaded it w/ factory 140gr Core-Lokts. It shot great. I mean it was truly an under 1" rifle. Then I pulled the factory stock and put on an HS Precision. It went to a 3" gun!!! After putting a few business cards to give it some pressure (the new stock did not have a pressure pad) it went back to being a sub 1" gun again. I then took some devcon and made a pressure pad. It now is back to shooting like its old self! I then made up a batch of 120gr TTSX's and it shot just like the factory. The rifle has been shot between 50-60 x's. My 2 youngest sons have shot a cow moose and a black bear w/ it.
If he is willing to take my .260 CDL SF and you want it, I would sell it for $900.00 w/ a set of Talley mounts. Send me a pm if interested and I will ask after I hear back from you. Steve

I am not sure what happened or why I am listed under Greenbrier 01???? Maybe I created that user name a long time ago??? I just wanted to clarify so you can see I am not a new user and have many references if you need.
Steve
