OK, I'm all about function of my rifles, but nothing says they can't look good doing it (McSwirleys, for example)! I am putting together an AR with an 18" SDM bbl, and want FDE parts. Will be using Magpul for stock and grip, but looking for a 12" free float handguard (not railed) in FDE. Anyone got any recommendations??? Thanks!!!

Get a NM style free float undertube and you can put any style rifle handguard that you want.

Anyone got any recommendations??? A 4 oz. bottle of Cerakote (MagPul Flat Dark Earth H-267Q) and a Troy TRX rail. Now all you have to worry about is not wearing stripes and polka dots at the same time when you go to the range  Terry
