Kimber Montana rebarreled by Mickey Coleman with a Lilja SS 1:10" tube at 22". Will include any brass (Remington) and loaded rounds I have as well as the Talleys. $1200 shipped and insured. It does have "War Eagle" inscribed on one side from the previous owner. I would trade for a 84L in 30-06 or a Colt AR +/- cash. Wife, hog, bipod and scope not included...

Nice combination. Has to be sweet to shoot.
It's not the destination...

Thanks guys. I love the rig, but since I built my 6XC on a Montana, this one just sits in the safe. I'm thinking I'll move it and possibly pick up an 84L or Forbes rifle in 30-06 or something similar to be an all-arounder.

What speeds are you getting with bullets Dan and how's the trigger?

Trigger is excellent. I generally lower the pull weight, and the Kimbers are super easy to adjust and get a good safe pull.
I'll have to look, but I want to say that 80gr TTSXs were humming along at 3400fps or some such. I could be off on that number though, so don't quote me.

What barrel contour in relation to factory Montana, round count, and how does it feed? Any additional information? I like the concept and could get really interested. Thx.

Duped factory contour. Possibly slightly shorter shank. Feeds great, low round count, I'd guess less than 200 rounds.

I'll testify that this is a very sweet rifle. Dan's a great guy too. Deal with confidence.

Thanks bud.
If anyone feels like going the PayPal route, I'll accept it as long as you cover the fees, and do not include anything about guns in the transaction.

Could you give some info on how it shoots and what type of velocities can be expected.

Shoots great. I used 100gr Nosler Ballistic Tips for fireforming with Remington brass, and I can ring my 4" gong at 400 yards probably 8 out of 10 shots. I never really did a ton of development with any other loads, but I want to say that 80gr Barnes TTSXs were in the 3400fps range, and I might be wrong, that might be more like 3600fps. I need to check my notes.

Wow. if I didn't already have a 250AI, I'd be all over this one. Dan's one of the good guys as well.

Any pictures of the inscription and what's the weight after rebarrel?
