To bad it wasn't an older model, still though, I've seen 99E's sell for $800 N.I.B., not sure about a C though, it should be a bit higher though.

OK - thought 1600 was a bit high, but the guy is sitting tight.

1600 is about double what I'd go on it. They made quite a few of those in .243 and .308 in the late '90s. they sold for about $500 at best.
