We are in Oregon visiting family. Went shopping with the wife. . We did real well today but they would but they would not let me pay sales tax. Then I looked at the gas and found I need to fuel up. They would not let me stand out in the cold rain and pump my own. Made me sit in the warm car while they pumped it for me then the stupid idiots would not let me pay the price I expected to pay if I was back home! They made me pay only $3.059 a gallon, a good thirty cents a gallon less than at home.

Stupid Oregon Gas laws!!!! mad mad mad

Visit central or eastern Oregon and the prices might come in line for you.

But even in Burns they won't let you stand in the blowing snow and pump your own. I NEED to suffer when I buy gas, not sit in a warm car. I read it here so it must be right. wink

Sitting in??? Surely you meant on!!!??? I can get you some $7-something gas if you'd like some. You can even stand out in the 20 mph breeze in 0F weather like I did today. Hey, I'm glad we can get fuel right now!

Three natural rights of Oregonians.

Don't have to pump your own gas.
Don't have to pay sales tax.
Drive 10 miles an hour under the speed limit in the left hand lane.

Merry Christmas, Scott!

Paid $3.39 for my last Arab hose wrasslin. And that's the lowest it has been in nine months to a year?

Damn, $3.07 and sit in the car sounds mighty fine to me.

Merry Christmas to all good Campfire members. This old man is headed for bed. Got to get my rest so I can do justice to all that good food tomorrow.

I thought they only pumped it for you in Jersey.
I have my own supply, and we have the horrible inconvenience of having to pump it ourselves. Doesn't bother us much since it's not laced with alcohol.

Gas is 2.899 here on the Texas coast, but does have 10% ethanol in it. No state income tax. No sales tax on groceries or RX meds.

MERRY CHRISTMAS to ALL!

property taxes are figured into the gas price, had a business owner tell me thats one reason it might be cheaper in one area of town compared to another.

$4.50 a US gallon here whether you pump it yourself or they pump it for you. It's only 5 below, so we're not complaining -- seen it a lot colder this time of the year. Thanking Al Gore for global warming. laugh
