I'm far from new to the black powder game but I've never owned a BP revolver. I've been watching videos and doing some research I'm leaning towards an 1860 colt. any advice? I love to see some pics to help me decide between Uberti and Pietta.

I had an pietta 1859 steel frame (44 cal) from cabelas, it was a nice gun, I ran triple 7 through it with cap and ball, and I also bought an R&D conversion cylinder for it, and used blackhorn in the 45 colts. This one wasn't really that accurate, but fun to shoot. I sold it as a kit to fund other projects though. They are cheap to shoot if you cast your own round balls.

If you'd use it for hunting with a .44 cal would do you well. If you just enjoy the booming thunder than a .44 will do you well.
Many say that a Colt '51 Navy has the best grip ever.
I'm wanting an 1858 Remington in .44 cal, as well as a .36 cal 1862 Colt Pocket Police.
It sort of depends on what you are intending to do with it.

The Uberti may be finished a little better than the Pietta. I think the 1860 version of the Colt is the best looking pistol.
The 1858 Remington is going to be the best pistol for accuracy. If you do some research on tuning them, you can make them scary accurate.
I gave my son a Pietta 1860 Colt for Christmas. We haven't gotten out to shoot it yet.

I ordered an Uberti 1860 army. Good choice. I had two of them I shot in CAS competition. Good shooters, and perfect if you have big hands.
Money can't buy you happiness, but it can buy you a hunting license and that's pretty close.

Good choice. Here's my favorites. The 1860 Colt is the best looking, the 1858 Remington is by far the best shooter. I think my next will be a Patterson.
