I honestly thought The engine light on a chevy just means it's still working, I've not seen one that didn't have the light on.
Hope it's nothing major, hopefully just a cold glitch.

Thanks. I started another thread on it and one guy said his '09 did it too and it was the throttle positon sensor. This was one of the many causes I found on the innerwebs last night.

It seems like the chevy engine lights come on for very little or nothing. Ford lights, they never come on. Not unless there is a huge problem. Chevy truck is like a little girl with a sliver in her finger. "Bwaaaahhhhhh!! Ohhh it hurts!! Waaaahhhhh!!! I'm dying!! Take me to the emergency room right NOWWWW!!!" Ford truck is like and old man that wont admit he's not feeling well. Rod hanging out of the block, engine on fire, sparks, carnage, oh the horror... "I'm ok, I'm ok, really, it's nothing, I got this..." Not sure that one is better than the other in that respect, just 2 different extremes.

What I'm trying to say is, it seems like the chevy lights come on for the littlest things. (hopefully minor)
Seems like if you see a light on a ford, i's too late for cheap repairs. lol!

So Tom, you're saying the kids got you a Barbie for Christmas? Nope. I got a barbie for my favorite girl in the world. She also got a left handed hot pink Fusion (by Mission) bow. Mini man got a young man's bow from Fleet Farm. They're both very happy, as am I.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone. My whole family has been sick for the last 3 days. It was pretty sad to watch a 4 year old little boy sitting listless on the couch while we were opening presents. I scored a Boyt Gun Case that I need (the last one dates to 1996). ND, I must ask.....(here it is fellas, a fastball over the middle of the plate)....who is the ass on your Christmas Card? In all seriousness, a very nice card that really captures your year. We do a letter with some pictures and it sure will be fun to sit down and read them all some time. Our Elf on the Shelf is finally gone. He sure got into a lot of mischief this year! -painted all of our noses red when we were sleeping -turned the milk green -was smooching Barbie -got captured by the boys' hunting guys in an upside down water glass -decorated the tree with a roll of toilet paper -hung out on a zip line in a pair of the boys underwear -took my muskie down and had him hooked on one of my ice rods -painted the kids toe nails
What you do today is important, you are trading a day in the rest of your life for it.

So for all of you that fish on ard water.
How do you decide to locate your "spot"?
Year after year the same spot.
Find it during soft water season.

seen it both ways, usually I would put my house in a known area where fish are. in college my sweet crappie spot was 50 yards out from the point of shore line between a large pine tree and the boat ramp across the lake. had my house there many years in a row and always had good luck.
now-a-days I know lots of folks use GPS and go off mapping programs, summer spots and even guys who head out to the vicinity where fish are reported to be caught and "troll" their house to several locations before they settle on one and it will sit there most of the winter.
depends on the house one owns as well. now I have a small compact portable so I will go to several different reservoirs and fish many kinds of fish. depending on time/mood and weather.
others might have varying opinions, in my experience these are the ways we've done it in the past, or I've seen it done. YMMV

I think you did a pretty good job of explaining that Ryan.
We all might have locations in our mind that we'd like to be set up on. These locations would be based off past experience both summer and winter. The locations may also be influenced by what services are available in which areas of a particular lake (bait, food etc)
Then mother nature comes into play, ice thickness, smoothness, ice heaves, ice cracks etc.
And also the type, size and weight of the house.
Something clever here.

Yeah I know dad's has been on for a while. Mine come on so I brought it in and they said it was the thermostat. They changed it and it was fine for a while. But it come on again about a month ago. It is running fine and all the gauges are good so just may let it be for a while.
I am out of order until further notice. My "stupid people" filter needs cleaning and my "give a damn" batteries have run out.
