I've got a Remington 673 with a pathetic trigger and Santa brought me a new one.
Now, the Rem 673 is based off of the Model 7 action, BUT on Midwayusa it says that the Timney 700 trigger is the one that should be installed.
I've also phoned Timney about this and received conflicting opinions......like they've never heard of it.

Anyway, I did indeed order the 700 trigger, but the trigger on my 673 has a different style bolt release.

I'm wondering if I can remove that bolt release from my existing trigger and place it on the 700 trigger. If I take my existing trigger apart, I'm not sure I'd ever get it safely back together. Then again, it's a miserable trigger. I can't find a photo of the back side of the Model 7 timney trigger to see if it matches my 673 trigger.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I think the Mod. 7 trigger should be the right one as the 673 is based on the Mod. 7 action !
