It is held in place with a spring and plunger. Insert a very thin flat blade screwdriver at the rear of the extractor, between the extractor and plunger, and push the plunger to the rear. Lift the extractor straight out. Carefully release the tension on the plunger so it doesn't go flying away. By the way, the extractor in the photo is beat and will need some cleaning up with a file before using.
