Hey guys. A buddy of mine has a 375H&H and wants to play around with it at long range. Was thinking something like the 350gr SMK. Anyone running this combo? Any loads?

All depends how far he wants to shoot it. I ran a 260 NAB at 2800fps and out to 800 yards it does ok. Similar drop chart as a 308 with 175s's was fun to shoot.

You might try G.S.Custom HV 265 grain. I fired my best groups in both my .375 and my 7mm. The velocities run a little higher with them also.

With the 350 MK I tried 73-75 gr of H414 (max) and got 2440-2490 fops from a 24" barrel.
I also ran 70-72 gr of Big Game and got 2435-2496 fps. The Big Game loads all gave sub-10 SD and were really accurate.
I was loaded to 4.055" COAL out my Ruger No.1H.
IIRC, the 350 MK at 2500 is very close to the .30 cal 175 SMK in trajectory.
That bullet would be insane in a CheyTac or .378 Bee!

The .375's do well with standard 260 - 300 gr bullets, with trajectories that pretty well match those of .308 Win & .30-06 rifles. I found it no problem to take a bear at just over 300 yards in 2010, using my .375 H&H. The .375's seem to be surprisingly accurate too.
The longer, heavier bullets... Maybe coupled with an even bigger case, offer some interesting possibilities.
