I just got a Rhino UTV (06 660)and it has a winch on it rated for 2000 lbs but no name on the winch so I am suspicious about it quality and reliability. I have a Warne 2500 on my 450 quad and it is very good and reliable. I am looking for something a little bit bigger than 2000 lbs pull and trying to get the best bang for the buck. I know Warne are good and reliable but expensive, anyone else have a favorite?

It depends on you inteded use as to what is best. Warn has a mechanical brake and that's a big plus for some uses. I've got a orilla winch (now promark) that has done well fr me so far. Whatever you get IMO synthetic rope is the way to go.

I believe Warn (without the "e" ) is THE name in ATV/UTV winches. I have one on my 2000 Sportsman, and that thing is a pulling machine. Love it. Mine is only rated at 2000 pounds, but a snatch block will double that easily.

Superwinch is worth a look too. Have one on my car hauler, and one on my Honda Big Red. No problems with either, and they are priced right too.

I used my 3500 Warn to pull my Rhino up a steep bank when it slid off a bridge to the creek below. it was dangling by the kevlar cable for a bit while being lifted. It has the wireless remote which is something I don't know how I lived without!
I was down by the rhino and could control the lift from where I was without anything connected to the machine!
