Winchester model 70 270 Win Sporter in a featherweight stock painted by Ric Bin, barrel and action coated with Walter Birdsongs Black T, bolt fluted and coated by Karl Kampfeld, Vero Velini sling, trigger lightened to 2+lbs and topped with a Leupold Vari-X III 3.5x10x40.

That one's nice too... now can you post a bigger pic? I would especially like to see the paint job. My light weight needs painted and I'm looking for inspiration.

Last year I went out twice with my pre-war Model 70 in 308 Norma. It weighs right close to ten pounds all up. The last trip, I carried a Mauser in 8x57 which is just shy of nine. I'll confess, the Mauser was more pleasant to carry! Most of the time, my rifle is carried in my hand and I am always trying to find the rifle which carries best that way. The big thing is for it to be slim and balanced. The scope is a big issue and I've been toying with the idea of a scout-type mount to get the scope out of the way of my hand. In the end, I find, with each passing year, the biggest problem is that another year has passed and I don't get better; I get older! GD

ts300wsm, Thats a factory Ti, 270 Win. with a 6x42 Leupold with CDS turret. The webbing on the stock is out of a can of krylon. It also has a PT&G firing pin and shroud. Its also Cerracoated graphite black. The scope mounts are early Weaver one piece that pre-date the Talley's.

If Kimber Montanas and Remmi M7s came in LH I might have to get a second job.

Sorry but I take terrible pics but here go a few. Carbon extreme in 300 WSM awaiting new optic I think we all know what this is. What I carry behing my house for vermin control. This Marlin Papoose is probably my favorite rifle. I love it and it's affordable to shoot. Much better than an AR-7 There some lightweight 6.8 AR's I have and some other Carbon extreme rifles but I don't have them right handy and don't feel like digging for them.
