not long ago, while back, had planned on finding a cheap ADL in 25/06 with plans to cerakote & drop into a ti-takeoff stock. deer season interrupted my plans, and i had kind of forgot about the idea.

this morning i head down to the local toy store to pick up some rimfire ammo, and in the new rack is a 700 XCRII RMEF rifle in 25/06. 24" tube, nice and slick feeling with the trinyte coating.

for anyone running the XCrII sporters, how have these rifles performed for you?

Mine is a 280 with McMillan KS edge. Great rifle and stock. Shoots much better in the McMillan stock.

Nice rifle, KuduBull! Did you use the 139 Hornady's on the elk also?

Thanks! I've shot a few antelope with the 139's. I shot this elk with a 160 accubond.

I used one for antelope and Mule Deer in Wyoming they both dropped frist shot and did not move. It is a great rifle for longer shots.

Can't speak to the II's, but my first-gen XCR is a great rifle. Super accurate, the coating is fantastic, and fit and finish are better than the cheaper M700's. I'd buy another XCR in a heartbeat.

The CENTER will hold.

Same here.

Like KuduBull's mine also shot and handled better in a McMillan KS stock.

I have had a pile of these (XCRII's and XCR's)and I never got one that wouldn't shoot MOA with factory ammo, the Trinyte finish is superb, these are the best all-around hunting rifles on the market IMHO..Get one you will love it....Good luck.......................Hb
