I have a .257 Roberts and a .35 Whelen, I like to keep my powder inventory to a minimum so far I have found IMR 4064 to be a good performer in both. RL-15 has been highly recommended for the .35 Whelen, my question is whether it is a good choice for the .257 Roberts? I shoot almost exclusively 100-120gr. bullets in the Roberts and would like to hear your experiences with that powder/bullet weight combination. Thanks!

I've been using 38-39 grs. of Re-15 in the .257 Roberts with 100 gr. Speer HC's for a while now and find it very accurate. At 50 yds., my old 760 Remington pump w/ iron sights shoots 1/2 inch or less consistantly. E

My 24" barrel 722 rifle shoots a 41 gr RL 15 to about 3100 fps with a 100 gr bullet. And of course, there's nothing better than a load of RL 15 for my .35 Whelen...
