Hey, John, when did you write this article? I remember reading it, but cannot remember what mag or the year.

It was in RIFLE, maybe 10 years ago.

I am sitting here with a friend talking about it. Is it available on line anywhere, or can it be emailed?

Thanks,
Ted

If it's anyplace, it would be on the Wolfe site.

I just looked at my hunting journal, and found the hunt when Dave Scovill, Ron Spomer and I first came up with the idea of a "wildcat" invented for Wolfe. We were camping out and hunting pronghorn near Ft. Sumner, New Mexico in September 1999, and I wrote the article not too long afterward, so it probably appeared early in 2000.

Okay, that is what I need to know. Now, all I need to do is find the article for him, or if someone out there has it perhaps they could scan and email it to me.

Thanks very much,
Ted

I've got it, and you're welcome to use it. Now I have to find it...

Dennis;
It's good to see you posting again, I hope that this finds you and yours acceptably well and that you had a good Christmas.

The whole B29 article brings back a lot of bad memories for me personally, as I'd begun to assemble components such as dies to swage .308" bullets down to the correct diameter when my gunsmith received the news that Ms. Lewinsky was out of the reamer grinding business.

Anyway, I can always dream about what might have been, right?

All the best to you and yours in 2013 Dennis.

Dwayne

That article is in HANDLOADER #203.

Price of sewing needles around here is outrageous so I've decided not to rebarrel my M70 Classic Fwt. Anyone want this mag?

Yes, great article. Inspired me to have a couple B29 built. It's the only rifle I got that shoots completely flat to 1000yards. NO hold over ever. I don't need range finders or scopes with fancy turrets or extra dots either. Great invention, thanks John. But please stop telling people about it.
