Great season. Had well over 100 deer in easy killing range this year. Saw more deer this year than I have in a long time. Got tough after the first of December but still a great season.

This past weekend though, I saw many slickheads. Killed 3 old does.

I saw one of those rifled shotgun bolt actions up at Bud's Gunshop last week. Looked like that would be the only way to travel if a man had to hunt with a shotgun.

Remington accutips, 2-3/4". had a burris fullfiled ii 4.5-14 on it but took it off last night. I am looking for a different scope, smaller, to use. It worked great with it though, I killed 6 deer with it out to 152 yards. The burris is a nice scope.

Don't need a gun to kill 3 in one day though, from a few years ago in about an hour.

and from last year with a muzzleloder in about 6 minutes

Why did you choose a shotgun for TN. Yall can use a high power rifle cant you?

Rifles are legal, but there are areas they are not, my local WMA is slug, muzzleloader, bow only. Also, I hunt in some developed areas at times and hunting with a rifle is not necessary. Also, if I can't see over over a couple hundred yards I don't need a rifle to kill deer. Hunted with a muzzleloader forver on occasion during normal gun season but having a second shot can be important if you need it or want it.

I have Remington 700 in 7mmstw. It does the job well. With the help of probably one of the most knowledgeable guys anywhere, Davidlea, I have made a few upgrades, HS precision stock, timney trigger, speedlock, and a couple Kahles Helia Cl multizero scopes (one is on one of my muzzleloaders) and even though I have been reloading for over 20 years, he has helped me with that to. Great to have help from someone who will share.

I purchased one this year also, shot a nice 130+ class eight and a doe. Our plant lets us hunt on 800 acers and we are only allowed to use Shotgun, ML, and bow. After season I sent it off to have it ceracoated, and got a mcmillan HTG stock on order also. Mine likes the federal 3" COPPER TROPHY.

Nice job and good shooting. They are accurate as are many of the rifled shotguns out there now
