Does the case mouth need to be chamfered with a VLD tool? Do regular seating stems usually work with VLDs?

I've found VLD chamfering most necessary for flat-based bullets... The more efficient the boatail the less necessary the chamfer. Ymmv.
I've not had issues w/ standard seating stems w/ the few VLDs I've seated.

Follow their instructions for seating depth trials from their website too.

my hornady dies in 25-06 and 6.5 creedmoor were not deep enough for the hunting vld's. I had to drill them deeper about 1/8".

Does the case mouth need to be chamfered with a VLD tool? I use the VLD tool on all my brass, but they still need a brass brush wrapped with 0000 steel wool spun in a drill to smooth the inside, or else they still scrape the bullet jacket.

My hornady creedmoor dies came with 2 different seating stems. One was labeled amax and was for vld type bullets. I had a set of another brand of dies that seated off the bullet tip on vld's rather than the ogive and it caused run out issues.
